T92 PLOW

The T92 Trailing Plow is a heavy‑duty Keyline plow designed for growers and contractors who require increased clearance, stability, and working capacity when operating at depth or across larger paddocks.

Built around a three‑beam trailing frame with 2.34m (92″) front‑to‑rear beam spacing, the T92 provides greater internal clearance than two‑beam designs, improving trash flow, reducing blockages, and allowing deeper, more consistent cultivation in heavy soils or high‑residue conditions. The three‑beam layout also enables wheels to be positioned in a wide range of locations, improving balance and depth control across varying terrain.

Hitch – The Yeomans Trailing Model plows are fitted with a heavy‑duty hydraulically adjustable Top Link incorporated into the solid steel A‑frame tow bar assembly. This system allows precise hydraulic levelling of the plow frame from the tractor cab, ensuring the plow operates dead level at the selected working depth regardless of terrain or drawbar height variation.

Depth Control – Award winning “Ripple Clamp” system gives 25mm (1″) incremental height adjustment and capable of variable positioning internally or externally of the frame. The T92 Plow is fitted with heavy duty 7.50 x 16 (8 Ply) tyres on 5 stud Jeep rims and axles.

The Yeomans T92 plows feature a three beam configuration with shanks positioned along all three beams. Due to front‑to‑rear support beam(s) shanks can only be set at certain equal spacings. These are shown on the table to the left.

*In pasture work, minor variations in shank spacing caused by frame beam positions are inconsequential, whereas cropping applications require more precise, even spacings to align with defined crop rows.

The T92 trailing frame is designed to accept a wide range of Yeomans Oyster Clamp shanks, including 22″, 26″, 31″, and adjustable (up to 34″) Big‑Y shank assemblies, making it adaptable to different soil types, cultivation depths, and horsepower requirements. As with all Yeomans trailing frames, shanks are clamp‑mounted rather than welded, allowing flexible spacing and easy reconfiguration without compromising frame strength.

Manufactured from fully welded 4″ × 4″ × ⅜” RHS steel, the T92 frame delivers the rigidity and durability required for long‑term operation in demanding field conditions. The increased beam spacing also allows depth control wheels to be positioned in multiple locations along the frame, available in single or dual wheel configurations, to suit frame size and operating conditions.

The trailing drawbar is a solid welded A‑frame construction, providing stable tracking and controlled pull angles behind the tractor. The drawbar system supports accurate levelling and repeatable depth control, making the T92 well suited to consistent deep working across larger paddocks.

To further enhance performance and surface finish, the T92 can be fitted with optional castoring coulter discs for pasture renovation and Yeomans Crumble Rollers, available in manual or hydraulic configurations and in single or dual roller layouts, depending on frame size. These options assist with residue management, pasture protection, and uniform soil finish following cultivation.

Designed and manufactured on the Gold Coast, the T92 Trailing Plow reflects over 75 years of Yeomans Keyline plow engineering, providing a strong, adaptable platform for reducing compaction, improving soil structure, and supporting long‑term productive and regenerative farming systems.

Why We Prefer Drawbar Horsepower (Not Just Engine Horsepower)

When selecting a Yeomans plow, drawbar horsepower and tractor weight are more important than engine horsepower alone.

A tractor may have sufficient horsepower on paper, but without adequate weight and traction it cannot apply that power effectively. This is especially true for compact utility tractors. For this reason, Yeomans plow selection should be based on usable drawbar horsepower.

How Many Shanks Should I Run?
Depending on soil type, compaction and tractor models, we recommend anywhere from 7-15HP per shank.

Up to 20–30 horsepower per shank may be required for initial cultivation in very compacted or dry hardpan soils. In such situations it is best to order a plow based on the standard recommendation, but start plowing with fewer shanks and re-introduce shanks as soil conditions improve.

With the above in mind, a practical starting point is to allow approximately 10 drawbar horsepower per shank.

Minimal Soil Disturbance Design

75 years of Keyline expertise, design and testing has produced the best shank and point geometry to lift and fracture compacted subsoil without inverting or mixing the topsoil.

This controlled soil‑lifting action is achieved through carefully developed shank profiles and working angles that loosen the soil profile while preserving surface structure, residue, and ground cover. The result is a precise, mechanical approach to subsoil conditioning rather than aggressive cultivation.

Advanced Shear Pin System

The shear pin acts as a sacrificial mechanical safeguard, absorbing sudden shock loads by failing under excessive force before damage can be transferred to shank, clamp and frame.

What sets the Yeomans system apart is the ingenious design which uses short pieces of off-the-shelf mid steel rod instead of expensive machined pins. Changing a Yeomans pin is quick, easy and cheap. When the shear pin breaks, the shank doesn’t fall to the ground, it remains on the frame meaning a pin change takes around 40 seconds. No spare pins? no problem, use an M8 bolt to get you working again until replacements arrive.

Interchangeable Yeomans Shank System

Built around the Yeomans Oyster Clamp Shank (OCS) system, plows support interchangeable 22″, 26″, and 31″ shanks with replaceable points and adapters.

Clamp‑mounted shanks allow fast reconfiguration, simplified servicing, and long‑term component replacement without cutting or welding. This modular system gives operators the flexibility to adapt one frame to multiple applications while protecting long‑term machinery investment.

Fully Customisable & Upgradeable Frame System

Yeomans plows are built around a highly adaptable frame system designed to accept a wide range of attachments and configurations. The frame allows coulters, crumble rollers (manual or hydraulic), depth control systems, seeders, weeders, and hilling components to be easily fitted, removed, or reconfigured to suit changing applications. Plows can be set up as a dedicated cultivator, seeder, weeder, or hiller, or configured to perform multiple tasks in a single pass.

Importantly, these options can be specified at the time of purchase or added at any stage in the future, allowing the machine to evolve over the years. This modular approach ensures long‑term flexibility, protects machinery investment, and allows Yeomans plows to be upgraded and adapted over many years of use.

Heavy‑Duty Australian‑Built Construction

All Yeomans plows feature fully welded RHS steel frames designed and manufactured in Australia for Australian conditions. Frame designs have evolved through decades of field use to withstand demanding soils, variable terrain, and long working hours.

This proven construction approach delivers strength, durability, and confidence that the plow is built to perform year after year.
